The largest-known soprano pipistrelle roost in the county was cleaned at the weekend by members Alan Wragg, Martin & Steph Cooling-Green. The Crewe and Harpur pub at Swarkestone is home to a large roost of soprano pipistrelle bats. The roost needed plastic sheeting laying down in the attic space to make future clean-ups easier but first the existing droppings needed cleaning. Three bin bags were removed and we look forward to helping the landlords make living with their roost easier going forwards.
